WELCOME!

 

Classical Language Tutor (CLT) offers online and local classes in Latin, biblical Greek and Hebrew. 

 

The ages listed below are general guidelines.  The decision to enroll a child in any program is up to the parents.  Any child will be admitted to any program provided he/she is at that level. 

 

All the classes are also open to adults who desire to learn any of these languages for the first time.

  

Classical Latin


Introductory Latin
(Ages 8-11)

This course is intended for students who want to have a basic foundation in Latin before junior/high school Latin (see below).  In this course the focus will be on learning some basic Latin, including alphabet and pronunciation, vocabulary, and the paradigms, basic grammar (subject, verb, object), and translating simple sentences, etc.

Latin I
(Ages 12-14)

This course is intended for junior high students.  In this course, the first part of Wheelock's Latin text will be covered.  Students will begin to do readings in Latin.

(Ages 15-25+)

This course is intended for freshmen and senior high students.

Biblical Greek

This course is intended for students who want to have a basic foundation in Greek before junior/high school Greek (see below).  In this course the focus will be on learning some basic Greek, including alphabet and pronunciation, vocabulary, a the paradigms, basic grammar (subject, verb, object), and translating simple sentences, etc.
